A Day at Home :)

Saturday.

We love Saturdays in our home!! We usually sleep in, stay home unless we have to get out, watch cartoons/movies, color, Mommy works on housework, etc.

We are starting something new, just for Saturdays. Isabelle helped me with the name. Because I love names, themes, traditions...

"Delicious Saturday!"

We're going to try a new, easy dessert recipe (probably found on Pintrest!!) and make it together.

This Saturday, we found a yummy recipe on Ann Voskamp's blog. A two-ingredient strawberry fudge. It was perfect for our first attemp!! And they were SO excited!!

I love the mess :)

After making our Delicious Saturday treat, we headed outside. Isabelle found a pack of sidewalk chalk and so we went to color our driveway.

I mean, who doesn't love sidewalk chalk? :)

We were having a perfect day. In the sun. Laying in the grass.

Out of nowhere, these two bulldogs charge into our yard and scare the mess out of the girls! I'm holding both girls on each hip, both have a death grip like I've never felt. They're screaming, crying...

The dogs weren't trying to hurt us, they were just extremely excited, & jumping. and chasing. My dog would never do that - mostly because when we take him outside, he's on a leash. That's why they make leashes right?

Anyway - a neighbor came over to help me. With the girls, because they were just out of control scared. Understandable! I kind of was too.

The owner finally came into our yard, whispered an "I'm sorry" and took the dogs home...

We came in, checked for scratches and boo-boo's. Got some juice and a snack. Then took some naps. Everyone was fine, just a little emotional trauma to work through. I'm thankful it wasn't worse, they could've been trying to hurt us...

Today I'm thankful for Delicious Saturday, a helping neighbor & a driveway full of sidewalk chalk art. :)
